The Eskimo vote is important for local things. It is not important for statewide elections because it doesn't determine which way Alaska will go. You would think it would matter in close elections, but it doesn't seem to. Not like the Indian vote in the Dakotas, for instance. I hate giving you such serious answers, but I can't think of anything funny to say about it.

Alaska constantly gets neglected in general elections. It is a part of the US, so their votes count as much as anyone. Whomever wants to drill in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). The citizens of Alaska get a kickback from the money's earned on oil.
