on a 1978 kawasaki 750cc twin,Why does the stator center bolt back out(loosen) when I try to start the bike? what do I do to fix this problem?Can't ride if it don't run!!!

I haven't worked on one of these bikes, but it seem as if the bolt is loose or the thread on the bolt is worn or the thread on the mating piece is worn. Undo the bolt and check its condition. Is the stator cover loose?
