I'm giving my mother guardianship of my kids for awhile, so i can get my life back on track. Does that take away all my rights

If you give temporary guardianship to your mother, you can gain custody back if you are not drug or alcohol dependent, if you can provide a suitable environment for your kids, if you are not abusive, and if you can support those children financially!
