how do i collect bill from customer

customer refused to pay bill after work was completed. I sumitted invoices and got some money but not all. They owe alot to me that i payed out of pocket for the job. I'm a contractor.

You put a lien on the house. That is so inconvenient that it usually gets the job done. You do this in the county court house.

You can send your customer a bill (certified mail) stating that if it is not paid by _____* you put in the date*, court action will proceed. Or you can send them to collection (unfortunately this way you will need to give a percentage to the agency - BUT IT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!)
