No not really. They are all the stuff that has gone into our subconcious and when we are asleep they all get jumbled up and the concious mind isn't there to put things into perspective. If you are bothered by re-accuring dreams or nightmares there is a way of removing these from our subconcious.Reading books on the subject would be a good and safe way to start.

Dreams are a vehicle in which your mind communicates ideas, warnings and health issues. Sometimes they even communicate the future!

You can use your dreams as a passing sort of entertainment, or you can elect to use them regularly as an aid to you in your journey through life.

There are those who claim to be able to interpret dreams, but it's just guesswork! No two people have the same dreams for the same reasons. In our brains we store information, memories, events and images during waking hours. During 'dream' sleep, all of this gets jumbled into weird, scary or nice subconcious imagry which we call dreams or nightmares. The reason it is often difficult to recollect dreams a few hours after we wake is that these images are not real to the conscious mind. We remember nightmares longer becaus...

On dozen of occasions I would have a problem at work with a computer or network system. I would work on it all day and still not be able to solve it. Then as I dreamed, the answer would come to me! Sometimes I would wake up at 2:00 or 3:00 AM and go to work to test it and almost always, I would fix the problem!

Well, the mind experiences daily life right? We react in daily life, to what we experience (see, hear, feel...) Dreams are pretty much the same. Our mind is not aware, on a conscious level, that it is dreaming. The mind thinks that it is absorbing stimuli, and reacts. The mind reacts to whatever experience a dream may bring, as if it is really happening because in essence, it IS really happening. For example, Say in life, you have never been chased down an alley by someone who intends to hurt you. But if your DREAM that...

Yes, I believe we should take our dreams very seriously. However, we have to be careful about interpreting them literally. They are more about feelings that we have (even subconsciously) that come out when we sleep. So, for example, whenever I have a dream about being scared and running from something, I ask myself what it is that I have anxiety about. Eventually, I can figure out what it is that is making me so nervous.
