MY BOYFRIEND PASSES AWAY, PARENTS WANT ALL OUR BELONGING,ARE THEY ENTITLE TO IT?

MY BOYFRIEND OF 4 YEARS PASSED AWAY RECENTLY. WE LIVED TOGETHER FOR A WHILE NOW. SHOULD HIS PARENTS WHO LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE BE CLAIMNG THE ELETRONICS OR ANYHTING THAT WE OWNED TOGETHER? ARE THEY ENTITLE BY LAW TO ANYTHING? WHAT ABOUT OUR DOGS, CAN THEY TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME?

Check the common law status in your state. If you lived together long enough to be considered having common law status, then his parents are not entitled to anything unless stipulated in your boyfriend's will. It would be a nice gesture for you to give them something from his personal effects - after all, he was their son! After being in a four year relationship, all property belongs to you, including the dogs. Consult a lawyer if you have problems ith his parents....
