i work in a container port environment and operate a straddle carrier machine. since i have been in the job ,18 months, i have had 5 seperate incidents involving non fatal collisions. as a precausion management have grounded me until the out come of a hearing to be held soon. i need to convince them i can be a safe driver and improve my skills.

Take a course while you're waiting for their decision! Five accidents in such a short time doesn't look good on a performance level, and you're not likely to get a good reference if you have to change jobs. Improve your skills as soon and as fast as possible, then if they'll take you back, it will be on a probationary basis - they'll be looking for marked improvement!
