ZERO.... you have to pay taxes on any monies made from contract labor. You pay your portion of the social security [7.65%] and the portion that the employeer would have paid [7.65%]... less any business deductions. You can however make up to $600.00 from someone for contract labor without having to receive a 1099. This is not just Kansas.... this is Federal Income Tax [IRS]
