What does "RO" mean in the display on an ATT 1818 phone?

Our ATT 1818 phone will not accept voice message now. "RO" appears in the display wind

Dale I think the message you are seeing in the window is "AO" and not "RO".
"AO" stands for "Announce Only". The System Will Not Record Messages if the setting is on Announce Only.
