That's a good one. Since he has been trying to get his license for a few years and he lives on his own and has a job I'm going to say 20. This is all assuming that the Bikini Bottom dwellers age like we do.

The kids relate to him as a teenager and i think thats why the little ones love him so much.Whoever created him was a very cleaver person that could really see inside a childs mind and make the humour funny for adults at the same time.
