CAN I SAFELY BURY 6/3 W/grnd COPPER WIRE IN SCHEDULE 40 PVC?

We are installing a 240 v hot tub/spa outdoors in our back yard. It will require a run of 40 ft from the main breaker panel to the 50 amp GFCI breaker located 5 ft from the tub. Then another 10 ft. of the same wire to the tub connections. Can I safely put this cable inside Schedule 40 PVC buried 18" deep from the house to the Spa breaker panel, then inside the same size pipe above ground to the Spa? Is there any concern with heat build-up or any other problems?
