cat gone crazy
Asked by: inga from -
My mom has a 14 year old cat, not neutered, inside cat. He is old, but never been seriously sick. Well, last year he jumped on my mom's leg, scratched and bit her very deep. She couldn't heal for months. Just couple days ago same cat did same thing. What is wrong with him? My mom is the one who feeds him, takes care of him and even lets him to sleep in the same bed. What went wrong? Is he too dangerous to keep? I am scared he might jump on her at night.

He was obvoiusly going through some trama when he was lashing out at your mum. What concerns me is that you say he's an inside cat. If he cat is not outside in the garden then it is not a normal environment and mental disorders will develop.
