trying to lose wieght
Asked by: lostinblueintn from -
I have been trying to lose wieght since January by drinking water 99% of the time (60 oz a day) and eating better. I bought a gym in May and started working out. My problem is I have gained 20 lbs since May and 30 since January. Is that normal to gain that much after changing my habits for the better?

No, it isn't normal! First you're drinking way too much water - what you're experiencing to some degree is water weight! 32 to 40 oz. of water a day is plenty! Want a good result ? ( it's hard but it works and you'll actually feel better)

Eat normally, not more than what you were supposed to take as a normal calorie intake per meal, however eat and drink nothing with sugar , as though you were a diabetic. This also means no cakes, chocolates, honey, ketchup, sauces, etc.

1. I think you are over drinking water and you should cut down by half immediately.
2. Make an appointment with your doctor to get your thyroid checked. If you are carrying on gaining weight at this rate, then its possible you could be suffering from an under active thyroid (hypothyroidism) and they can help you out by prescribing meds.

So you feel fatter? When you work out, you can get thinner but gain weight because muscle is smaller than fat but weights a lot more....
