How Much Time is Required for Schedule Changes

I work part-time in Maryland for a non-profit agency. My boss consistently changes my schedule. For example tomorrow I was scheduled to work from 10 am -1 pm and I just found out today that I will be working from 5 pm-9 pm. This is happening more often to everyone not just me. Is there any law that says employers need to give a certain amount of notice before changing my schedule.

Each company makes their own company policies when it comes to these kinds of decisions. So, unless it's in your employment contract that they will give notice before altering work schedules, there's not a lot you can do about it!
