I have 20, yes 20, in 3 rooms! I tried get a $300 all-in-one and program it for all the fuctions, but it had 3 or 4 things that I did all the time that wouldn't work correctly.

We have none at this time. The one we had has been broken and I don't watch too much TV so I haven't gotten a new one yet.

I have 3 for the 3 T.V.'s, 2 for the 2 DVD player's, 2 for the satellite boxes and 1 for the Air conditioner for a total of 8 ( if you count your hands for the clapper on the lamp "clap-on clap- off" then add 2 more for 10)
