Pleae share only One (song or movie)
[FOR ME]
The song by Luther Vandross, Dance With My Father.
A loving tribute to my father who passed away last year is the most personal recording Luther has ever made. There is no denying the heartfelt tone of the vocals, and the sheer joy contained in the lyrics sentiments. The words in this song hits close to home.
These are those lyrics
Back when I was a child, before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high and dance with my mother and me and then
Spin me around 'til I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure I was loved
If I could get another chance, another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
How I'd love, love, love
To dance with my father again
When I and my mother would disagree
To get my way, I would run from her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
Then finally make me do just what my mama said
Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he would be gone from me
If I could steal one final glance, one final step, one final dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
'Cause I'd love, love, love
To dance with my father again
Sometimes I'd listen outside her door
And I'd hear how my mother cried for him
I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me
I know I'm praying for much too much
But could you send back the only man she loved
I know you don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying
To dance with my father again
Every night I fall asleep and this is all I ever dream

"Foreign Affairs" with Joanne Woodward and Brian Dennehy. It's a great love story. Just as he's going back to her, wouldn't you know it, he has a heart attack and dies.

The movie, Click, starring Adam Sandlers. Even though it's a comedy and nothing is really as it seems, it still brought tears to my eyes when he was dying. Apart from the universal remote, I felt like the story was probable. Adam Sandler is a great actor. Other than that, I usually get upset whilist watching romances and very well produced dramas -nothing like the crap you see on tv- when it hits a certain point. Memoirs of a Geisha certainly did that, beautiful and heartfelt. And the Notebook. I could go on listing a l...

I've see the movie "The Notebook" 8 times! It always makes me cry! The story is about the truest form of love! (I cried when I read the lyrics of your song! I lost my dad too - he was my hero!)

The movie, "It's a Wonderful Life," always makes me cry, because of the part when George Bailey says that he wants to live again, after his character has gone through the movie never "existing." The whole movie is a tear jerker. I also cry at the end when the townspeople collect more than enough money to pay back the savings and loan. I'm a sucker for a sappy movie. : )

For some reason the two movies that make me the saddest are robot movies. Both AI and Bicentennial Man tore at my heartstrings. It's hard to explain why here, but I guess to oversimplify it, it's losing the one you love. There is nothing more sad than that.

What makes me cry is a movie because you can see the pain i guess, or whatever makes you cry when you see a sad scene because in my opinion seeing something sad is more probable to make you feel or do something than if you use you hearing but it could be different on others!

Movies make me cry. But to come up with only one. I can't think of anything recent... so I'll say Forrest Gump. I remember leaving the theatre in tears.

The Sarah McLauchlin song Angel played over the video of rescued pets, ASPCA (I think), makes me cry like a baby when I hear it. The song by it's self makes me tear up, but with the images of animals that are hurt or in need of help just rips my heart apart.
