Sometimes we have to use animals for scientific investigations - there have been many medical breakthroughs because of this method of research. It's true that some animals die because of these investigations, but millions of people are saved because of them!

I think using animals as test subjects is despicable. Imagine the pain they go through. It's unnecessary. If the products, drugs, or whatever scientific chemicals are going to be used on humans, then humans should be the test subjects[if this happens, it should still be a matter of free will, because I would hate to see people abusing human rights]. I think using animals as test subjects is despicable. Imagine the pain they go through. It's unnecessary. If the products, drugs, or whatever scientific chemicals are going to be used on humans, then humans should be the test subjects[if this happens, it should still be a matter of free will, because I would hate to see people abusing human rights]. It's obvious that they use animals because the substances are too harmful to try on humans first without major reactions. It does matter if people test on animals, because they have a consiousness too. Even thinking about what horrific things happen inside a lab makes me want to cry out. It's sickening. I wish I was more clued in to how I can make a difference. If your asking about alternatives to testing, then you'd have to research it on the internet or talk to scientists, maybe they have archives at the library. Alternatives for a lifestyle without the use of animal tested products is to check what your buying isn't tested on animals. That includes make up, drugs, etc. Lately I haven't brought that plan into action, but a while ago, I did an animal rights essay for school. The stuff I found out was disguisting. And I'm not just talking about scientific investigations. Animals go through an intense about of pain to provide people with entertainment, and clothing. And it's still happening all over the world. And if you're not going to give up eating meat or eggs, there are also options to buy free-range, and such. If anybody wishes to help animals that are being abused you should visit the web page of the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). Just type into a search engine and look for the homepage for WSPA in your country or you can follow this link to find out more about a whole list of welfare organisations for animals;

Im not going to dissagree that scientists haven't found major breakthroughs in science and cures but there are other options. It is up to us to help animals in need. If you have it in your heart to stop this cruelty, then find out what you can do to help.
