Mini Cobra... can an x- employee choose to stay on a "noncore" health
Asked by: Georga from -
plan example dental and drop health care? and if so do when would their
payments be due? This person believes they have 45 days after they choose to elect cobra because the first premium is to be high because of retroative period and sucessive payments are due ....this
person never had any retroative periods and they are not doing heath care anyway which this is refering to.
My question to you is ... can they choose to just stay on a noncore health plan and choose to pay 30 days late... while I have to
pay a month ahead for everyone else as usual. All other companys that I have talked to require payment for cobra people to be in their office by the 15-20 PRIOR to the month they are paying for! This way
the person can't skip out on you if they ar not going to pay for their cobra any more and you have already sent the money in for them!
What do you say?
