Can scheduled maintenance happen at night if the computer is turned off?

Your computer is never really off unless you cut off the power source! Scheduled maintenance happens even if your turn it off! In fact, maintenance is more efficient if you're not using your computer!

No it cannot, scheduled maintainance is carried out via the Operating System.
