What is the value of energy?
Asked by: kc5255 from PHILADELPHIA, PA
Without giving it a passing thought, we expect energy?electricity, gasoline, natural gas, home heating fuel?to be available at our fingertips for mere dollars a day. If we were to take the time to really think about it, what would we say the true value of energy is? How does energy influence our own lives, our nation, our world? Are we locked into existing forms of energy or is there something better? How much would you pay to find out?

Please share your own idea.

Since I am the one who have the final decision on my answers for this question, I have no choice to extend this question for another week because the duplicate question http://www.askpedia.com/q_w02z... only has ONE response without an attached reward. It would expired this coming Thursday, 7/9/08.

No offense, I now know that this site is about GREED of money. Thats my 2 cents

I think the fact that somebody like Boone Pickens who is willingly ready to talk to both the Republican and the Democrat presidental nominees is a step in the right direction. It shows a certain dedication to the cause, so to speak.

I believe I'm paying enough now - I think I'll find out eventually anyway whether some other form of energy will be better. I think we all realize, when the power goes out, even for a few hours, just how much we depend on electricity! In spite of the astronomical increases in home heating fuel and gasoline, we still need to stay warm, and we still need to get from point A to point B. The true value of energy is not in dollars and cents, if you can afford to pay for it! It's just providing us with the comforts and conven...

This is one of the best questions that need answering, but at the same time, you put spin on it during the asking. You obviously lean towards spend more and try to find alternative energies. I actually agree with you there, but when asking a question, like (supposedly) in reporting, you should be standing in the middle and viewing both sides.
On to the answer, which I give whether you want it or not lol. Control that! hehe. You only choose the BEST answer, not each answer individually :)
