Do you think that the U.S. should adopt a medical care system (like in Canada) where people pay a 10% sales tax and get free health care - rich and poor alike?

Yes, universal health care free at point of delivery is iconic of civilisation. We should share the risks of poor health across society, its bad enough being ill without being financially ruined as well. Also, the US insurance based "system" is very expensive.
US employers may have liked to know their staff feared losing job and health cover but now its a huge cost for many companies.
