Lies - What do you think?
Asked by: achai from -
We've been taught since young that it is wrong to lie. But as we grow up, we sometimes face difficulty in telling the truth all the time. So, what do you think? Should there be complete truth all the time? Is it alright to lie? Let me know what you think.

You are right that we are taught to speak truth and not lies but this holds good for most of the time but there are instances where telling truth might be disastrous for someone and it shall be avoided for good cause and better tell lies.

i think now days we lie to keep from hurting other people and people we love. but eventually that lie will come out. and they will be even more hurt when they know we lied to them. it is always better to be upfront and honest even though it may be hurtful. bc they will eventually be thankful your were honest with them. and thats how you will earn peoples trust is by LAWAYS being honest!

Lies only make the situation worse, if not now then later. People will lose trust in you and look at you in a whole different way, though of course they will not always openly say it. Its best to tell the truth, always....may the force be with you :P

it depends if it is somthing like cheating or you know somthing about somone else which if you were in that sinareo you would want to know yourself then i think you should be truthful, if that make sence. if it is just a white lie then i don't see the harm aslong as it is not constant lies but just the odd one then i would think that would be fine.

Don't lie, unless it serves better and noble purpose.
Its 21st century, still being honest and truthful is the best, simplest and honourable way to deal with the things.
Lies can work short time. In the long run, lies gain mistrust and bad reputation, while staying truthful, may be hard for short term, but has great rewards in long run.

Liars are just cowards....people who are afraid of the truth and what reprocussions it may bring. People often stretch the truth to avoid hurting someone they care about, but the truth will always come out sooner or later. Im known throughout my friends for my brutal honesty and to some I may come across as an a$$hole at times, but most respect me for it. For example my best friend always comes to me for advice on clothes cuzz when she asks her husband how she looks he always gives the generic husband response...when sh...
