You get razor bumps when you use dirty blades and bad shaving technique. The hair tips are separated from the hair shafts; and grow curling, into the sidewall of the skin follicles. As the sharpened hair tips grow, they penetrate the skin. The skin gets irritated, and develops pimples, cysts, pustules, or papules.
