Marriage traps a woman. Your opinion?

I am at a point in my life where most of my friends are married or engaged. I have a boyfriend who seriously talks about marriage all the time. Yet as I look around me I can't help but notice what happens to most women when they marry. It is not a pretty picture. First, as a "wife", you have all these extra expectations placed on you. Then you have kids. Having kids and cooking for them makes most women fat, or at least chubbier and less attractive then they used to be. We all know what pregnany does to tummies and breasts. Then you can burn yourself out getting your freedom back and going to work, or you can stay at home raising the kids, which is supposed to be an "honor" or a "privledge". I don't know about you, but being trapped at home, cleaning, cooking, and watching children sounds terribly boring and lonely to me. So you end up fat, bored, and lonely. Then your husband works late and doesn't want tyou to spend any money or go anywhere, and then he goes to work and complains about the old "ball and chain". He might even take you for granted enough to end up cheating on you with his younger and thinner than you secretary, or he may work late all the time and go out to bars and with his friends on his free time instead of coming home to pay attention to you or give you a break from the kids. If you go back to work, you still do most of the housework, and then your kids are watched by strangers all day.
Marriage sounds more like the end of your happiness as a woman to me. Unless you can make your kids your whole world and just live for them I don't know how a girl could even make it through. No thanks. What is your opinion?

I'm sorry if this was rude, but I laughed when I read this.
The first thing is if you're living with each other. If you aren't than it clears up the "extra expectations" that are placed on you, for I'm not sure on what else can occur besides gaining more family relatives.
Besides that, kids are optional (of course), and you don't necessarily get...
