It's not exactly like honey. Honey is good forever-it doesn't go bad. Nutella, however, has an expiry date.

Should you refrigerate Nutella?

I recently discovered Nutella and I'm hooked.
I looked at the jar today and it says that I shouldn't refrigerate Nutella. It also says I shouldn't microwave Nutella.
I'm not going to microwave Nutella but I'm wondering if you can just leave Nutella outside. Won't it go bad if I leave Nutella outside? Is it really like honey and you can leave it out forever?

no as nutella has the nessecarry preservatives in the jar it will not go bad if left out of the fridge, if you keep the jar in the cupboard, away from heat and light then the jar will last for ages, it's when the contents gets hot or is exposed to too much light the ingredients react and go bad, storing it in the fridge can be done but this makes it much harder to spread, hope this helps

nutella shouldnt be put in the fridge!!! you will kill it!

You don't have to refrigearta nutella. You do it only if you want to store it for long time, even after its best date. But it tastes better if it is left out.
