I believe the United States has the best educational system in spite of the fact that we are not always ranked as high as other countries. However, we work to educate all of our students, not just a select few. We also work hard to help students develop critical thinking and to think outside the box which are critical skills in todays world, We are also one of the few countries that makes a college education available to all.

Actually, I really like Sweden. They have no starting date for kids in schools because they believe in the power of imaginative play and discovery. Kids begin to attend school when parents deem it right for them. Plus that everyone gets an 18-month maternity/paternity leave so kids are never in daycare before that. That creates kids who are more ready for school.

I have also studies in the UK and in Malta.I am going to answer my question trying to compare the education of the students they get. Some people may say the easier the better but I couldn't possibly agree with that. And the last thing - all my foreign studying stays were in English, which is my second language.

If I compared the US educational system and the Czech one I would definitely have to say that I prefer ours. I am a junior at Streetsboro High School, OH and I would be in the eleventh grade in our country too. We have thirteen grades though. I have A's in all my classes here (English is my second language) in the US and trust me, I didn't pick the easiest ones. I do not study here at all. In the Czech Repulic I do have to study for my classes and I still have A's and B's in about 1:1 ratio. I have eight (11 including 4 quarter ones) classes here and in the Czech Republic we have thirteen (yes, thirteen) classes including chemistry, biology, geography and physics. I have many funny moments from my classes, how people do not know about the world in general and for me it is just hilarious. The US is also more focused on sports, if you want to do a sport in our country you have to find a club to play for, I do not count our PE lessons though. I did there a sport and I played soccer here and I had good experiences here with it. Languages here are also weak in my opinion, I hvae been studying English for alsmost 10 years German for three and Spanish for about 7 months (in the US). Languages are mandatory in our country, you get to pick them. Our high school is not mandatory, just elementary school that has nine grades is. But in my opinion there is not a big difference in knowledge of a person that "graduates" an America high school and a Czech elementary school.
To summarize the US and our educational system, I woulde definitely say that ours is harder, students do have to study and know more about the world, sciences and also can speak foreign languages on at least basic level when they graduate.
When I studied in the UK or in Malta I had quick stays there so I can not compare it much, but I still think that our educational system is better from what I can tell.
Then I have to try to compare it to Asian countries such as Japan, that are well known for their long requirements. I have never been there so it is going to be inaccurate and I do not have my own experience, but I do not think that I saw those countries placed high on the ladders of qualities of education.

I am not going to say that our educational system is the best in the world, because I have not experienced every single educational system in the world. But from what I have heard/experienced here in the US I think the Czech Republic's educational system might be one of the best ones in the world comapred also from other points of view than just the academical result.

In my opinon, Finland,has the best educational system in the world in exellence for their math and science scores. Their scores stands as a redundant confirmation of the success of their policies. In the United States, the frustration is palpable. Despite persistent attempts to bring equity to the wildly uneven quality of schools here in US, reformers have not been able to produce the intended results. So far cost wise and education wise Indian system for science, maths and technical education is best. I have travelled around lot many countries and have tried to find the level of interpretation and maths skills in Japan, US, Taiwan and many places but nothing compared to India.

Where as higher education and colleges are concerned it again depends from topic to topic and country to country..

In MBAs USA is the best, In Engineering Master's program Germany is the best and so on so it is very difficult to comment overall education system from school level to PhD level for a particular country.
