We all know water is clear, and the ocean gives off a green color because of the plants on the sea floor. But we see a blue ocean because of the reflection of the sky. On any given day, if there were no clouds in the sky, would we be able to see a green planet rather than blue planet?

You cannot see green in the true ocean, only the shallows, maybe Sargasso See due to swirled surface collections of plant/algae, just as much as you see red/brown/blackish in the Red Tide accumulations off West Africa,Florida's coasts, etc. The true ocean color, as seen in daylight shadows of cliffs and mountains is dusky opulescent grey due to suspended organisms and detritis.
