Read out loud the rules for the house and to make things esay, come up with one common consequence. (Who ever breaks the rule, misses his or her favorite TV show for one day. They do it again, TWO days.) Post the rules on the refrigerator door for all to see. That way no one can later complain.."I didn't know that..."

However, if you live in Canada you have the option of refering yourself to Children's Mental Health. This agency is not just for children who have mental health issues. What it also does is teaches the parent skills to deal with specific issues they are having with their children, in order to curtail these behaviours as you mentioned. There is also a course called Triple P you can do through this agency (and other agencies as well), which you can work with a parenting coach one-on-one. Good luck dear!!!

When he calms down (because he will no doubt yell at you and be angry) you explain to him that it is against the law for him to assault anybody and that you are taking away a privelage for the day. After one week if no improvement you take the privelage away for two days. At the same time you make up a reward system for each child against their most disruptive and annoying behaviour. It must be specific, not like (be good) but more like no physical violence or following direction and then after x amount of stickers you give a cheap lucky dip gift or go somewhere special with them. You must not take away this reward for an unrelated bad behaviour. Just some pointers. At the end of the day it is imorotant to remember that your kids will do what you allow them to and you are in control. Your children are not born bad. They are socialised that way.
