my 2000 mercury villager will not start its firing but no spark and its not the fuel pump what else could it be?

firing wood mean that it has spark if u have no spark u 1st need to check for codes it may have a bad crank sensor and that wood be in the pcm. i think u mean that it cranks over but u have no spark i wood need more info to help farther
