I think you should hang on till your 18, at college, study hard away from your parents. You sound like a super intelligent sorta person and are obviously are going to make your mark in the world. Just wait a while, study, try to ignore the disparaging remarks. For every negative there is a positive. This agro your getting is making you study harder to get away, so that there is a positive, look for more, there are plenty there.

If your parents, as you say, are actually physically abusing you then I would in fact tell them to stop that at first, their response would then mark the course of your actions, because that's not legal, not this day-in-age.

Running away from home is never a choice that will end with good results, you can find yourself in situations you may not be able to handle, or you'll just get caught and brought back, likely in trouble.

With my parents I've gotten into fights with them about them not listening to me and even though I'd be in trouble, I eventually gave them their own medicine of just ignoring them for a month, with parents who are abusing their powers you may want to try coming up with more clever and less dangerous ways to deal with your situation than cutting/running away/getting into physical fights with them.

I'll tell you what a lot of people will tell you, which is parents and children often don't see eye-to-eye, in your case you may need to heavily assess your situation, cause there is drastic solutions for you, and if you seriously feel they do not love you there's actions the government can take, however I'd think this isn't the case simply cause they'd send the police after you.

Your age and family situation may be vital here, if your parents fight amongst themselves often they're probably taking their anger out on you, as much as it will hurt you they'll regret it eventually, if you're the youngest they may be comparing you to an older sibling, in which case just remember you are who you are, and you can only be the best you can be at what you do, keep your individuality. If you're the oldest or only child your parents may not be used to having a teen in the house, if you're around 10-14 your parents may be expecting more from you, not wanting to accept that you're growing up, which will hopefully pass (I've seen that situation with someone close to me who is 18 and her parents treat her like she's 10).

If you are majorly concerned about your situation, and if you are being abused then I'd suggest you seek out authorities in your area, teachers, grandparents, aunts/uncles, police, etc. most importantly someone you trust, and sit them down and explain. Most adults if you approach them one on one will be willing to listen.

sad story...well...try staying after school and talking to a teacher or someone you trust and have them come home with you and try to get your parents help. It sounds like they expect too much of you, but try that.

if you don't want to do that then you'll just have to do what i did:

stop caring what they think. Live to be who you are not who your parents want you to be, learn to think of insults as compliments (that might be hard i don't know how i do it).
Continue being the best person you can when you do grow up and move out
you will be stronger for it.
