I have a Question?

I want to know that...
When I ask a question and I get many responses and its now time for me too choose a Best One...then What should I do...
Sometimes it happens that more than one users give same answer. Then should I select the best answer for the user who has given the answer first. But the other user who has given the answer later on if didn't saw the answer earlier posted and give a same answer without noting that same answer has already been posted?
If say the second user has taken answer from the answer already posted by a user and adds some more content to his answer then what should i do? Which answer should i select as best?
Can we select only one as Best one...or there can be something of sort Best Two if we want is some special cases????

I have been in your place at least 100 times and on the receiving end at least 5000 times. You can only pick one answer and you definitely want to do that. I also think it is good to leave a comment At least that is my policy without exception.
You do have the situation where one person was composing an answer while the other person was finishing and they didn't see each other. You can tell this by looking at the posting times.

You can only select one. I once asked a question and got two equally great answers. I emailed Askpedia because I did not know which answer to choose and they told me to pick the one who answered first (was the only thing they knew to do).
If I got an answer that was half the same as another answer but more information added I would pick the answer that gave more information as long as ...

This is great question which I have come across to same situation in my questions . The best way is to add more comments so that you can find which expert is giving you better replies in added comments and if this is not possible then the only way is to extend the answer instead of selecting one as the best.
I really feel bad to select one as the best the other expert is equally go...

My thoughts on this are as follows:
The early bird gets the worm. If two people answer a question with the same answer, then the first should get the prize. On the other hand, if the first answer doesn't give enough information, and you actually need the second answer to truly understand the answer of the first, then the first didn't do his job correctly, and you're gonna have to skip to next in line. My gu...

Choose the one that answers your question correctly, I say!!!
But hold it.... if your question requires a factual answer, then the first one who answers it right should win the game. If your question is a personal one relating to your emotions and thought process, then you should pick the one that makes you feel enlightened. But here's the catch: What if you ask a question that you already know the answer, yet you still want validat...

This is a good question but I think you should pick the answer that you plan that is right for you in the future. Don't just think that the 2 good questions are good but look after your life in case something goes wrong and you can't fix it.

Perhaps in the event of a tie-break you should flip a coin to decide which answer you want to select as the best.

the previous answers were good, but if the answer didn't fully satisfy you, you could wait until another answer is better and really answers the question.
it's just the same way when i was on myspace, i had a "top 8" and both of my friends asked to be the first.

Obviously if the answers are identical you should pick the one that was written first. However you should always pick the one that YOU think is best and helped you the most despite what order they were entered.
