Why is the media covering the Democrat candidates more than the Republicans?

Is it just me or is the media covering more when it comes to the democrats?

I think because this year, there is an african american man running, as well as a woman, and that has never happened before. it also seems like more people are liking the democratic side in terms of their ideas, so most of our media want to hear about the people they are strongly considering to vote for
