John Edwards is becoming more interesting and he is cleverly positioning himself as a change agent that might not be as radical as Obama nor an insider like Hilary. However, to me, he comes across as an opportunistic showman who isn't convincing.

So, the democratic nomination is becoming very interesting. This is a good thing as long as the candidates don't throw too much mud at each other. Whoever emerges out of this process will be a much stronger candidate who will ensure that the Republicans do not win again.

Lastly, if by some miracle or via a cruel joke from the gods, the Republicans win the Presidency, God help us all. It's going to be another four years of the mess in Iraq, slowdown/recession in the economy, and the total squandering of the goodwill that the United States has built up in the world stage since the end of World War II.In my pontification, it looks like I didn't answer the question.

Right now, I would have to go with Obama for the Democratic nomination and my vote for the President. He might be "inexperienced" but I do feel that we need someone with a new perspective on politics to re-energize the nation into participating and supporting our government.

He is not my first pick, but if he wins, I think we are in good hands.

Logically, you should give Pres. Bush for pulling us out of the Clinton caused recession in 2000. I bet you are not willing to do that. And I normally do not give presidents credit either way on the economy. Usually they are simply part of a regular cycle. But he spent the next 7+ years not advocating good economics.

Gov, Huckaby is the only candidate to support the Fair Tax which is dear to my heart, but the rest of his economics is very bad. I do not want him.

Mrs. Bill Clinton and Sen. Obama simply want to control large parts of the economy. That never works because the variables are too great. That is called socialism, but they lie about what they are.

Gov. Richardson I heard is dropping out. As head of energy and in New Mexico he didn't do too badly. For economics he could have been my choice.

There is much to admire about the Sen. from Arizona, but not his economics.

Sen. Fred Thompson has a good economic mind, but he is going no where.

That leaves the former Mayor of New York. Did a great job there, economics included. He better get geared up or I will have nobody left.

Salary & middle class investment earnings have grown more powerful thanks to this expansion & tax rate decrease,yet tax revenues are up! It takes money to make money for the willing American,but in Washington's hands,it's like donating to a crooked charity.And that is addressed to the good cop bad cop Congress, where they all have the same play book for their constituents & just take turns being one or the other while they spread their disease of economic inefficiency and graft in their strange bedfellow relationships as they dance for the public coins to be tossed! The tax reductions have proven that the American people can create & expand an economy far superior to faulty PAC ridden Government as illustrated by revenue growth.The true rulers of America's fate is the silent majority who realize it doesn't matter who is in office,as long as they don't get too radical right or left.They just take it on the chin,adjust,adapt & plow on with newer innovations,because they want to be self reliant & achieve by fishing for themselves,not waiting in line for a fish.If they have to move upstream or down, they do;cut a whole in the ice or wade in or build a boat,they do.Don't sell them short.Remember,these small business owners, independents and entrepreneurs are NOT included in the touted Hillary statistics,mainly because the reporting has never evolved to include them with any ease for lazy itinerent news agencies.
